One of Guernsey's most traditional sporting events for the Pessimist Trophy, which was first competed for in 1946. The event was soon after moved to Liberation Day itself and has been competed for ever since.

The race follows a tradtional coastal route from Le Houmet and embracing L'Ancresse, Bordeaux, The Bridge at St. Sampson's, Bulwer Avenue and finishing on North Beach. First runners normally arrive at North Beach at 11.35am.

Entries are on the day , everyone is welcome and this popular 7 mile run normally attracts a healthy field of 100 competitors.
